This lemon variety is produced most extensively in Türkiye, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Türkiye’s climate and soil structure allow for the cultivation of high-quality lemons. This very early-ripening lemon accounts for the largest share of Türkiye’s lemon exports and is in high demand in foreign markets.

The fruit is large and has a long, cylindrical shape. Its most distinctive feature is its nipple, which slopes sideways. The fruit peel is thin, smooth, light green, and shiny; this is one of the characteristics that distinguishes it from other lemon varieties.

The fruit flesh is greenish-yellow in color and has a refreshing and rich aroma. It has few seeds (an average of 6-7), which is advantageous for fresh consumption. The juice content is 31.39%, indicating the richness of the lemon’s juice.

This lemon variety can be used in many areas, from salads and drinks to sauces and marinades. Besides being consumed fresh, it is also preferred in dishes and desserts to enhance flavor. Thanks to its high acidity and refreshing taste, it is frequently used in cooling drinks, especially during the summer months.
